The Loco Boys rallied past the Titans 14-13 with one run in the
bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday in the Winter Men’s DDD
Softball League opener for both squads at Las Animas Park.
Gilroy – The Loco Boys rallied past the Titans 14-13 with one run in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday in the Winter Men’s DDD Softball League opener for both squads at Las Animas Park.

Kurtis Salter hit a bases-loaded RBI-single with two out in the bottom of the seventh for the Loco Boys. Salter claimed game batting honors with four hits along with four RBI.

Roger Castaneda went 4-for-4 and Jimmy Castaneda powered two triples and a single for the winners. Ryan Romero and Johnny Ramirez each delivered a double and two singles for the Titans.

Deadman Inc. stopped the VFW Vets 23-21 by producing five runs in the top of the final inning.

Mark Cisneros paced the Deadman Inc. attack with a three-run home run, two-run double and RBI-single. Darin Edu managed a homer and two singles, Josh Ehle had a single and two doubles for the winners. Cody Wilson dominated the VFW Vets offense with a home run, triple and two doubles.

Walton & Sons Masonry powered past the Good Ole Boys 15-3 as Pascual Cid homered and Jarred Reeve and Todd Leal each went 3-for-3. Robie Kramer, Brian Stelling and Don Haygood hit run-scoring hits in the Good Ole Boys fourth frame.

Men’s CCC

Louie & the Outlaws began play in the Winter Men’s CCC League Wednesday at Las Animas Park by defeating Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 23-11.

John Hernandez homered in a 4-for-4 night for the Outlaws. Josh Gonzalez added a double and three singles to the Outlaw surge. Alan Hazelberg homered and Juan Contreras socked a triple and two singles for Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.

Neighborhood Pizza stopped George Chiala Farms 17-5 as David Sotelo went 4-for-4 and scored four runs. Robert Sanchez hit a grand slam and Chris Bowles hit a two-run shot for the Neighbors. Jeff Dougherty homered and Steve Maurin singled and doubled for George Chiala Farms.

The Platinum Roofing Slammers earned a forfeit win over Hollister Motor Sports-Gilroy Steel.

Men’s C

Gilroy – Czar Construction rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge the Playaz 11-10 in the opener of the Winter Men’s C League Tuesday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Daniel DeLeon lined a double and two singles, scoring three runs as the Playaz built a 10-2 lead by the top of the sixth inning. Czar responded with seven runs in the sixth, led by a triple from Robert Silvia and doubles from Benji Dequin, Rico Lopez and Fernando Rodriguez.

Danny Rodriguez opened the Czar seventh with a one-out single. Dave Perez added a single before Joel Vaca produced two-run triple.

Team Talamo Foods snapped a 9-9 tie with four runs in the sixth inning to earn a 13-9 nod over Pro Electric.

Raul Bueno and Ruben Lujan lashed RBI-singles as Talamo took the decision with sixth-inning heroics. Henry Calderon paced the Talamo offense with a single, double and triple. Danny Sandoval powered three hits and Rosendo Acevedo launched a home run and triple for Pro Electric.

Danger II rallied from a 9-8 deficit to defeat Bike Center 18-12 in the C League nightcap.

Cameron Bautista provided four hits and Mike Olguin stroked a home run and two singles for Danger II. Gabe Duenas and Benji Casarez each added three hits and scored three runs for Danger II.

John Batinich went 4-for-4 and Roman Gaeta clubbed a home run and triple for Bike Center. Marshall Silva went 3-for-4 and scored two Bike runs.

Men’s CC

Rick Valencia went 4-for-4 and drove in three runs as Murderer’s Row-Manolow’s Glove Repair defeated Johnson Lumber 14-10 in the Winter Men’s CC League opener Tuesday at Las Animas Park.

Tommy Chavez contributed a home run, triple and single to the Murderer’s Row-Manolow’s offense. Gabe Hernandez lined a single, double and triple, and Jared Hernandez added three singles to the Johnson’s Lumber offense.

Cesar Lopez went 3-for-3 as Rosso’s Rebels topped Buzz N By U 9-1.

Alex Rojas stroked three hits and Zeke Lopez plated two runs with a triple and single for the Rebels. Kurt Gitmed went 3-for-3 and scored the Buzz run.

Brett Scott went 4-for-4 with a home run to highlight a 17-1 Feather Haven Mill victory over the Las Animas Sweepers.

Brian Sullivan went 4-for-4 and Mike Leslie cracked a two-run homer for the Mill. Eric Keen added two doubles, a single and sacrifice fly, John DeCarlo two doubles and a single for the winners. Donnie Gooding went 2-for-3 with one RBI for the Las Animas Sweepers.
