Gilroy – Antique dealers, produce stores and a variety of other downtown business owners will hold outdoor flea markets despite major construction along Monterey Street. The events, held on the first and third Saturdays of the month through October, will rotate between two parking lots off Eigleberry Street, between Fourth and Sixth streets, from 8:30am to 3pm.

Take a walk on the wild side

Shoreline Cleanup Day at San Luis Reservoir
San Luis – San Luis Reservoir will host a shoreline cleanup project sponsored by California State Parks and the California Coastal Commission, from 9am to noon Saturday. Starting at 8:30am, participating visitors and boaters will receive a garbage bag and rubber gloves at the Basalt entrance station at San Luis Reservoir upon entering
The park (and boat) day use fee for that day will be waived for participants who collect garbage the entire three hours. Between noon and 1pm, when volunteers drop off their full garbage bags, each car of volunteers will be given a second free day use pass for their next visit to San Luis Reservoir.

n Saturday is Keep Your Gear in Play Day, a great time to donate all sorts of sports equipment to either city hall for redistribution.
Second Chance Week ends with the big community garage sales in both cities.
