Gilroy Presbyterian Church will host Together for Life Workshops on Friday, Feb. 25, from 7 to 9pm and Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9am to 4:30pm. Workshops are designed to help couples keep their relationships healthy for a lifetime. Cost is $110 per couple.

Weight Loss

Support Group Meets

Saint Louise Regional Hospital holds Weight Loss Support Group meetings the last Saturday of every month, or the third Saturday during holiday weekends, in the hospital boardroom from 1 to 3pm.

Gavilan Joggers And Striders Running Club

Gavilan Joggers and Striders Running Club meets at 8:15am every Saturday at Christmas Hill Park, near the entrance. Jog two to three miles including short track workout.

Beginner joggers and those who would like to compete in running events are welcome.

Biking Group

The Health Ministries Program of Gilroy Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a Biking Group every Saturday, at 8:30am, leaving from the parking lot by First Street Coffee House, located at the corner of First Street and Westwood Drive.

Men and women of all skill levels are welcome. Shorter, recreationally paced short loop rides will be followed by longer, more challenging loops.

Annual Toy Train Show

The fourth annual “Toy Train Show And Swap Meet” will be held on Sunday, Feb. 27, from 10am to 3pm at San Juan Bautista Elementary School, 100 Nyland Drive in San Juan Bautista. Vendor tables are available for $20 each or two for $30.

Find Comfort In Grief

Griefshare, a grief recovery support group, holds weekly meetings at First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Ave., from 7 to 9pm in the Choir room. Those grieving the loss of someone close can find comfort and encouragement from others who understand what they are experiencing and want to help through their difficult time.

Each session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects, as well as real-life people who share their experiences.

Coming Up

Kids’ Storytime

Each Saturday in March, a different children’s store at Gilroy Premium Outlets will be hosting “Once Upon a Saturday,” a storytelling time from 10:30 to 11am.

Kids will receive a goodie bag filled with a VIP Coupon Book, a children’s book donated by Book Warehouse and more. On March 5, the storytime will be held at Carter’s, Bldg.B#280.
