GILROY – It’s time for young golfers to break out their clubs and bring their ‘A’ games to Gilroy Golf Course for the Beatty Memorial Junior Golf Tournament.

The annual tournament will be held August 19-20 with Tuesday’s first round at Eagle Ridge Golf Course and Wednesday’s final round at Gilroy Golf Course.

The entry fee for the two-day event – which was a three-day affair but will not be played at Gavilan Golf Course this summer – is only $25, which includes golf, awards, tee prizes and lunch on Wednesday.

And, of course, a whole lot of bragging rights within the garlic capital. The overall winner gets his named engraved on the perpetual trophy that grows bigger each summer.

To sign up for the Beatty Memorial, call Gilroy Golf Course at 848-0490.
