Septics at Christmas Hill Park.
GILROY – Victory Outreach turned a seven-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning into the championship of the Men’s DDD League Championship Series Tuesday with a 12-11 decision over Dan Keith Septics at Christmas Hill Park.

Danny Rodriguez drilled a home run, triple and two singles to help Dan Keith Septics to an 11-3 lead by the sixth inning. Victory Outreach responded with two runs in the sixth, then turned seven singles into the deciding runs in the seventh.

Joel Vaca’s one-out two-run single tied the score. John Jimenez followed with the winning single as Outreach claimed the best 2-of-3 series 2-0.

Rudy Tellez went 3-for-3 for the winners. Danny DeLong went 3-for-3, Bill Hudnell, Randy Newton, Tom Luther and Whitney McDougall each 3-for-4 for Dan Keith Septics.

Jim Gruber and David Chacon hit consecutive home runs in a seven-run sixth inning as Little Pizzarena opened the Men’s BB series with a 10-8 edging of Lopez Vending Machines.

Alvin Ganadon and Gruber finished with three hits for Little Pizzarena. Jess Lopez Jr. homered and joined teammates Danny Jacobo and Mike Orta with three hits for Lopez Vending Machines.

Eddie Cordia’s RBI-single in the top of the seventh inning clinched an 11-10 Just For Fun Co-Rec C League win over Radiator Doctor. Eddie Vargas and Nick Magee each stroked a single and two doubles for Just For Fun. Henry Maquinalez and Jerry Johnston each clubbed three hits for Radiator Doctor.

Puzzle Systems snapped a 1-1 tie with seven runs in the fifth inning on the way to a 10-8 victory over Family Affair Tuesday at Las Animas Park in Men’s DD play.

Izzy Del Real went 4-for-4 and Fred Torres added three singles to the Puzzles offense. Manuel Gozalez capped a six-run rally in the Family Affair seventh with a three-run single. Louie Martinez collected a triple and two singles for Family Affair.

Pray For Rain blanked JR Brewski’s 16-0 in the opener of the Men’s E League series. Eight Rain batters collected two hits apiece. Adrian Paco scored three runs and Carlos Garcia drove in three runs. Mike Keith went 2-for-2 for the Brew Crew.

Talamo Foods began the Men’s B series with a 20-5 win over Victoria’s Restaurant Banditos. Abel Jacquez hit the sole Talamo home run, while Raul Bueno and Steve Martinez each went 4-for-4. Gino Martinez and Aaron Fuqua provided home runs for Victoria’s Banditos.
