Trailing by six runs in their final four game at the District 39 Tournament, the Gilroy Little League All-Stars rallied back and won 12-8 to reach the championship game.

Their first match-up was against Santa Cruz American team for Tuesday night in Scotts Valley. The Garlic Stars needed to beat the undefeated Santa Cruz team twice in order to win the championship title. Results were not available at press time.

The Gilroy Minor All-Stars defeated Scotts Valley 12-8 on Monday. Micheal Hartman pitched an inning, and Gavin Menges went five innings.

Behind 5-0 going into the third, the Gilroy bats came alive tying the game in the fourth at 6-6. Jacob Brendle, Steven Reinartz, Christopher Drysdale, Matt Jackson, Bu Bu Garcia and Eric Vegas helped in the rally.
