Clever program on foxes

GILROY – Join Coyote Lake Ranger Griggs on Saturday, July 5, from 8 to 9 p.m. and enter the world of foxes. Summer theater is groovy

GILROY – Room is still available for children to participate in STAR 2003. “Groovy” is a musical comedy tribute to the ’60s, which will be directed by Pepe Espinosa. This fun-filled summer program is presented by the Gavilan College Theatre Arts program for young people ages 8 to 15. Concert in the park

GILROY – Enjoy Gilroy Community Services’ free concerts in the park this summer. On Sunday, July 13, take in the sounds of Mariachi California. The Corvairs will bring their 1950s and ’60s tunes on Sunday, Aug. 10. The concerts take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the amphitheater at Christmas Hill Park. GHS 1948 reunion

GILROY – The Gilroy High School Class of 1948 invites former classmates to celebrate its 55th reunion. The party will be a “no-host” affair at the Elks Lodge on Saturday, Aug. 9. The cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a buffet dinner (including wine and dessert) beginning at 6:30 p.m. Any member may invite a friend from another class. Jazz at the winery

Model aircraft fill the sky

MORGAN HILL – The Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark, a non-profit model aircraft flying club, will hold its 15th annual admission-free Airshow at its field on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13. See radio-controlled WWII fighters, helicopter demonstrations, racing aircraft and turbine jets. Watch aerobatics and try your hand at flying a radio-controlled airplane with the help of an instructor. Kids are invited to build their own model planes. Lunch and refreshments are available.
