CommunityNews Slide Show: The Mudslide that Ate 129 By Gilroy Dispatch Staff - January 25, 2017 380 The picturesque waterfall is what's left of the torrent of water that pushed mud across Highway 129 closing it for a week. Caltrans says Highway 129, which has been closed since Jan. 22, should open by the end of the week.
