Padron pounds out four hits in 18-3 win to create three-way tie
for first
GILROY – Dee’s Nuts powered past Guy’s Heating and Sheet Metal 18-3 Monday to produce a three-team tie atop the Men’s CC League at Christmas Hill Park.

Josh Padron went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to help Dee’s Nuts to a 2-1 mark midway through the second-half schedule. Eric Jimenez, Jesus Perales and Ernie Lopez popped three hits apiece for the winners. Dan Gavrity managed two hits as Guy’s Metal slipped to 2-1.

Lon Hufnagel went 5-for-5 as Krazy Koyote-Dutchman’s Pizza trimmed Countryside Preschool 17-13. Mike Howe homered in a 4-for-5 night and Kenny Hopf tripled in a 4-for-5 effort for the 2-1 Koyote-Dutchman unit. Brett Scott went 4-for-4 and Charlie Roe went 3-for-3 and scored four runns for Countryside Preschool.

Daniel Garcia’s three-run home run lifted Krazy Koyotes by Gaeta’s Taqueria 11-9 in Co-Rec B League play Monday at Las Animas Park. Everett Wallace and Benny Sanchez added Koyote homers, while Bobby Garcia went 3-for-4. Joel Gaeta hit a grand slam and a solo homer for Gaeta’s Taqueria. Tomas Carrillo went 4-for-4 with a Taqueria home run.

Eddie Cordia doubled and scored on a Nick MaGee single in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn Just For Fun an 18-17 win over Feather Haven Mill. Cordia and Art Naranjo hit Fun home runs. Albert Alosi went 5-for-5 and Charlie Roe scored five runs for Feather Haven Mill.

Handmade Healthcare turned a 28-hit attack into a 26-15 victory over Las Animas Sweepers in Men’s CCC play Monday. Mark Dean went 5-for-6 and Mike Peternal and Brian Marshall added four hits apiece for the D League first-half champion. Jason Thomas went 4-for-4 and Brian Cortez homered for Las Animas Sweepers.

Stu Kirchick and Jeff Duarte muscled home runs to lead Los Gatos Capital past AJ’s Boys 20-8. Steve Murnin and Mike Mendoza each went 4-for-4. Matt Piedmont went 3-for-3 and Mike Sandoval lined two RBI-singles for AJ’s Boys.

Rudy Maquinalez went 4-for-4 and Jay Jones added three hits and scored three runs as 3-0 No Soup 4 You topped Covenant Builders 16-9 Monday at Gavilan Sports Park in Men’s DDD play. Tim Adams and Brian Moreno each collected three Covenant hits.

Joel Vaca hit two homers, Matt Coughlin one in an 11-5 decision for Victory Outreach (3-0) over Bay Sheets. Serafin Mancera homered and doubled for Bay Sheets.

Manuel Juarez slashed a two-run homer and Isaac Hernandez and Mario Martini each thumped three hits as the Chippendales outlasted the Plunderers 12-10. Shawn Hernandez and Russ Black each plated two runs for the Plunderers.
