I opened The Dispatch tonight and was offended to find a blood-stained stabbing victim splashed across the front page, for the second time this month.
I’ve seen similar pictures from accident scenes. I wince at the lack of respect for the privacy of the people involved. Furthermore, this type of sensationalism seems to desensitize people to crime, violence and gore, rather than promote common decency and civility. Thanks, but no thanks on the bloody details.
