GILROY – Anyone whoe has a love for art, crafts, music, and outdoor festivals can’t miss Gavilan College’s first annual Expressive Arts Festival this weekend.
The outdoor festival on the beautiful Gavilan College Gilroy campus will be a day for community enjoyment of the arts.
The festival will feature live music, crafts vendors, an art exhibit and children’s activities. Admission to the festival, and event parking, are free to the public.
The festival will run from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday. Outdoor pre-show for the theater begins at 6:45 p.m. at Gavilan College Gilroy campus, Arts Quad, in front of the theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
The festival is the brainchild of student Marta Sherwood, president of the Gavilan College Music Club, who wanted to provide a day for celebration and enjoyment of the arts, and a venue for local musicians and artists to perform and exhibit.
