Property owners who can qualify for open burning – for agricultural purposes, flood control, fire training and fire hazard prevention – must submit smoke management plans to receive permits from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to conduct burns.
The next burn period will be from Sept. 1 to Oct. 15. To hear forecasted burn days, call 1-800-HELP-AIR after 3pm, for the following day.
