Guillermo “Willy” Becerra Mendoza died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005. He was 49.
Mr. Mendoza moved from Mexico to Gilroy in 1975. He worked as a machinist for various companies in the Gilroy area.
He is the husband of Maria Elena Galvan of Gilroy; the father of Cristobal Becerra of San Jose, Cristina Becerra of San Jose, Magali Becerra of Gilroy, Guillermo Becerra Jr. of Gilroy and Reyna Becerra of Gilroy; the grandfather of Mariah Chavez, Christopher Becerra and Eli Becerra; the brother of Ruben Becerra of Gilroy, Jose Becerra of Gilroy, Elena Becerra of Gilroy; and the uncle to nieces and nephews.
A vigil will be held at 7pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
Funeral services will begin at the funeral home by 11am Wednesday March 2, 2005, then proceed to St. Mary’s Church, for Mass at 11:30am.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
