Pumpkin time: Want to see pumpkins that tip the scales at 1,000 pounds a pop? Then you are ready for the Uesugi Farms 19th Annual Pumpkin Weigh-in. Competitors will pit pumpkins at 1 p.m. Saturday for more than $10,000 in prize money with the winner earning $5 per pound for the champion pumpkin.

Where’s the love? Pintello Comedy Theater’s “The Love List” will show at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October at the Gilroy Grange Hall, 8191 Swanston Lane. Cost: $18 for all seats. Details: pintellocomedy.com.
On the merry side: “Robin Hood & Friends” opens this weekend at Morgan Hill Playhouse & Theater, 17000 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill. Showtimes are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Cost: $18 regular, $14 for seniors and students. Details: 782-8087.
Autumn concert: South Valley Symphony will put on its “An Autumn Prelude” concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. $20 for adults and free for senior citizens, children younger than 18 and students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at southvalleysymphony.org
Last chances Two weekends. That’s it. Experience the Northern California Renaissance Faire. Casa de Fruta, off Highway 152, has been transformed into “Willingtown” a fictional 16th Century village. Festivities are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and end Oct. 17.
