Walter J. “Hank” Conrad died in Gilroy Friday, May 27, 2005. He was 86.

A native of Port Washington, Wisc. Mr. Conrad was a meat cutter for Safeway for more than 30 years.

He and his wife lived in Palo Alto for 45 years in the same house before moving to Gilroy a few months ago to be close to their daughter, Ann. He loved hunting, fishing and baseball and in his later years loved to watch sports, especially baseball.

He is the loving husband of 52 years to Antoinette ” Toni” Conrad of Palo Alto; the father of Thomas Conrad and his wife Sally, and children, Noel and Julia of Katonah, New York, Ann Barham and her husband and daughter Robert and Emily of Gilroy, and Susan Conrad of Beaverton, Oregon; the brother of Eugene Conrad of Barrington, Ill., and Ruth Jushka of Port Washington, Wisc.; and many nieces and nephews and their families in the mid-west.

Funeral services and burial have been held. Arrangements under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
