Christopher’s Alan Hermosillo answered with the equalizer in the 26th minute with a blast to the far post. He was fed the ball off a long cross from Brandon Kim.Â
Goalie Carlos Arroyo had two saves for the Cougars.

Gilroy falls in battle of the Mustangs
Gilroy’s struggles continued as it dropped its fifth straight game Tuesday in Watsonville.Â
Monte Vista Christian held Gilroy to single digits in every frame as it cruised to a 63-21 win in this MBL-Gabilan game.Â
The hosting Mustangs took a 31-10 lead into halftime from which Gilroy couldn’t recover.Â
Kayce Stachelek led MVC with 18 points. Donatella MacLeod scored 14 for the hosts.Â

Gilroy (7-8 overall, 0-3 in league) will look to right the ship when it hosts North Salinas at 7 p.m. Thursday.Â
