Annette Gloria Caliri Balestreri died in San Pedro, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004. She was 84.
Mrs. Balestreri was born Nov. 25, 1920 in Gilroy and was a 46-year resident of San Pedro.
She retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District in the early 1980’s and was a very loving and caring person who very much enjoyed sewing, cooking and being surrounded by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic and daughter Christie.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Santo Caliri, Frank Caliri, Buster Caliri, Mary Mercer and Anna Armstrong; son, Dennis Balestreri; daughter-in-law, Doreen; daughter, Linda Lastimosa; son-in-law, Catalino; grandchildren, Brooke Balestreri, Megan Balestreri and husband David Robles. Troy, Jennifer, Andrea, Ryan, Courtney, Eric and Brittany Lastimosa; as well many nieces and nephews.
A vigil service was held Sunday at McNerney’s Mortuary Chapel. A funeral Mass was celebrated the following Monday. Internment followed at Green Hills Memorial Park. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
