Dear Editor,
I got a parking ticket about three weeks ago, but it was a little different that the usual kind.
I was in the parking lot at Nob Hill Foods on First Street. When I approached my car after leaving the store, I saw the note under the windshield wiper. I thought the worst, and scanned the body of my car as I walked up to it. When I read the note, I started to chuckle.
Someone had handwritten the following: AWESOME PARKING! A+ for parking completely within the lines, A- for Parallel within the space, A+ for wheels straightened. It was signed, “Truly appreciative, A Driving Instructor”.
Well, dear driving instructor, thank you for making my day. While I pride myself in being an above-average driver, I’ve taken special care since then in case someone is watching me!
How very kind of this individual to take a moment out of his own day to brighten the life of another (and make the roads a little safer at the same time). Cheers to the Mystery Driving Instructor!
