GILROY – This year marks Mount Madonna School Theater Group’s 26th year putting on the production of the Ramayana, which will be presented at CSU Monterey Bay World Theater.

The Ramayana tells the story of Prince Ram and his banishment to the forest, accompanied by his brother Laksman, the kidnapping of Sita, Ram’s wife, and her eventual rescue from the hands of the evil demon King Ravana. This musical features about 190 students, from preschool to high school.

Showtimes are June 11 and June 12 at 7:30 p.m. and June 13 at 2:30 p.m., at CSU Monterey Bay World Theater. Tickets are $25 and are available by calling (831) 582-4580.

GILROY – The second meeting of the open piano club will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Monterey Street Music Academy at 7423 Monterey St. Musicians of any age or level may share their selections, including solos, duets, and singers may also participate.
