Sylvia N. Dodge died Oct. 21, 2004, in Morgan Hill. She was 96.
Born May 15, 1908, in Bradford, England, she came to the U.S. in 1910, living in Paterson, and Fair Lawn, N.J., before moving to California where she lived for 22 years. She then returned to Paterson, moving back to California in 2000.
She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Trenton Silk Co. in Paterson for 12 years before retiring in 1936.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ann Nehlsen of Morgan Hill; grandsons. Craig Nehlsen of Carlsbad and Keith Nehlsen and his wife Kristen of Oceanside; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Hernandez, Kaytlyn Nehlsen and Kasey Nehlsen; sister-in-law, Mildred Rawcliffe; a nephew; and two nieces.
She was Preceded in death by husband, Christopher G. Dodge (1990); sister, Mary E. Proctor; and brothers, George and Raymond Rawcliffe.
Services were held in Totowa, N.J., Oct. 28, 2004, followed by interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
Services will be held at 5pm, Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 17740 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill.
