Gilroy – Enjoy great pizza and salad today, from 11am to 10pm, at Red Brick Pizza and help raise funds for South Valley Middle School 6th Grade Science Camp at the same time.
Just drop your receipt into the jar after ordering your meal and SV 6th Grade Science Camp will get twenty percent of all the proceeds. Red Brick Pizza is located across from Kohl’s in the Gilroy Crossing Shopping Center.
Catholic Ladies install new officers
Gilroy – The Catholic Ladies Aid Society held a luncheon and installed officers for the upcoming year.
Grand President Alba Silva and other officers from the Bay Area installed local officers.
For the new year, officers are: President Bruna Goold, Past President Filicia Rosas, Senior Vice President Clara Joyce, Junior Vice President Lupe Sanchez, Recording Secretary Aurora Erojo, Correspondence Secretary Bette Scarper, Financial Secretary Dolores Corrales, Treasurer Eveyln Codiga, Marshal Lorraine Martin, Guard Ligia Garcia, Executive Board Marie Pirozzoli, Normal Seager, and Natalie Ayala. Guests from Hollister also were in attendance.
The CLAS is a 117-year-old organization that operates a religious store at St. Mary Church, subsidizes St. Joseph Family Center, donates scholarships to St. Mary School and contributes to other parish and community events.
Networking mixer meets today

Friday Music at Gilroy United Methodist
Gilroy – Enjoy an evening of Irish music featuring Audrey Haller, a concert vocalist, at 7:15pm Friday. Haller, who has performed with her sister as well as in several operas, will sing popular Irish folk songs.
Help companion animals in need
San Martin – The Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (FOSMAS) need help to find loving families for the many homeless animals currently at the shelter and in foster homes.
Please come to the FOSMAS pet fair from noon to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday at Petco, Morgan Hill (corner of Tennant and Monterey).
Find a new furry friend; make a donation to help cover spay/neuter, food, and litter expenses; or sign-up to volunteer for the shelter.

Scholarship breakfast Sunday at St. Mary
Gilroy – The Italian Catholic Federation branch 28, sponsors their semi-annual scholarship breakfast Sunday at St. Mary Hall 11 First St.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 11:30am. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice, milk and coffee will be served. Donations are $5 adults and $3 children 12 and younger. All proceeds go to local scholarships.

Learn to become a successful homebuyer
Gilroy – The City of Gilroy presents “Becoming A Successful First-Time Homebuyer” Saturday, from 8:30am to 3pm at the Gilroy Senior Center, 7371 Hanna St. Lunch will be provided.
The workshop is free but reservations are required.
