Mabie Skilled Nursing Center in Hollister.
Maxine Nisbet died at the age of 88 on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center in Hollister.

Nisbet was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. She lived in San Jose for 20 years before coming to Hollister in 1984. Nisbet was a homemaker and housewife for 60 years. She was a member of Ridgemark Golf and Country Club.

Nisbet is survived by her husband Mac Nisbet, of Hollister, son Carl W. Nisbet and his wife Mary, of Sonora, daughter Jennifer Lee Kelley and husband Tim, of Brentwood, daughter Narda Salvador and husband Joe, of San Jose, granddaughters Margaret Rivas, of Gilroy, Carleen Pilcher, of Germany, Tracey Papke, of Riverside, Wendy Salvador, of Campbell, and grandsons Shawn Kelley, of Martinez, and Joe Salvador, of Santa Cruz.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose. Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory in Hollister. Contributions are preferred to your favorite charity.
