Weston (Wes) Bowles was born Nov. 26 in Littleton, Colo. to Walter and Tessa Bowles. Wes served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict.
He was married to Margaret for 57 years, and they had two girls, Tessa and Andrea. He was a mechanical engineer and sales executive.
Jessie (Zimmerman) Bravo was born June 17, 1914 near Mexico City. She came to the United States in 1919, the fourth of eight children. She married Vincent Barraza and had Joe, Rudy and Barbara. She later married Bruce Zimmerman in 1976. Well-known for her homemade chile, Jessie was a field worker and a product pricer for a Fremont distribution company.
Martha (Winn) Brown was born June 11, 1910 in Galveston, Ind. She was married to Owen Marshall for 16 years and had a son, Tom. She later married Cecil Winn, a veteran of World War I and whose club she was a hostess in. They were married for 39 years, and every Thanksgiving they served a free turkey dinner to those less fortunate. Martha was the oldest of eight children.
Pat De Candia (not pictured) was born Feb. 1, 1913 in San Francisco to Vincent and Virginia De Candia. Pat is the only survivor of seven brothers and one sister, and she has a son, Vincent Henry Clet. Pat worked for AT&T for 18 years.
Laville (Pettitt) Harley was born Jan 26, 1913 in Chambers, Neb. to Conrad and Chloe Harley and was the sixth of nine children.
Laville had two children and did shoe repair and was a waitress.
Helen Marie (Shafer) Hubbard was born July 15, 1910 in Sioux Falls, S.D. to Frank and Emma Hubbard. She married Vance Shafer, and they had a son Miles. Helen and her sisters were a musical group that played and sang over the radio.
Jaroslabe (Jerry) K. Kara was born March 16, 1914 in Chicago to Anton and Barbara. Jerry and his wife Emily had three children, and Jerry enjoyed his professions as a butcher and taxidermist.
Irene Sylvia (Peterson) Laursen was born May 6, 1911 in Hay Springs Neb. to John and Minnie Peterson. Irene was the 11th of 12 children, and her older sister Grace (102) lives in Anaheim. Irene and her husband Rudy had three children.
