Look out California conservatives, here comes SB1234 to shut you down and take away your rights to speak your mind and your freedom of speech.
This bill is the revised hate crime bill that is already in effect in this state and now will include any actual comments and or thoughts that can be interpreted as hateful toward gays, lesbians, transsexuals and even abortion clinics.
This bill also goes after any religious clerics who may in their sermons speak against homosexuality and abortion. If you don’t think so, check out the news release on the priest who was arrested in Sweden, which has passed a similar law, and sentenced to 30 days in prison.
This bill has passed the senate and is now on its way to the governor’s desk and only he can stop this depending on his moral position on such issues. If you care enough, please contact the governor at 916-445-2841 and urge him not to sign this bill. This is absolutely devastating. There’s no neutral position in this case so do not remain quiet about it. Your silence means your agreement with it.
