Reno.

He was 79.

Mr. Wolfe was born in Gilroy on May 10, 1925, to Delbert and Ruth Wolfe.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1958, he owned “Denny’s Kart Shop” and his team won all 11 classes in the World Champ Kart Races.

Mr. Wolfe also developed the nine port system on the McCulloch engine and the “Maverick Button”, which allows a two-cycle engine to reach it’s highest point of RPMs times two.

He is survived by his son, Edward E. Wolfe and wife Bonnie, of Reno; sisters Doris Thompson and Gwen Thomas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Veterans Cemetery in Fernley, Nev.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Walton Funeral Home, 875 W. Second St., Reno, Nev.
