Lydia Eden and Charles Irwin are delighted to announce they were married on the first day of spring, March 20, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gilroy.
“The wedding was so perfect, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much,” Lydia said.
Lydia’s maid of honor was Lori Brown. Alma Quistian was her bridesmaid. Stephanie Koppi and Samantha Irwin were her junior bridesmaids.
Charles’ best man was John Irwin and his groomsman was Martin Irwin. Branden Irwin was the ring bearer and Eden Brock was the flower girl. Ushers were Jesse Croxen and Michael Croxen.
Approximately 70 guests attended the ceremony and the reception. The ceremony took place in the evening and was themed with a classic “Frank Sinatra” style. Lydia and Charles danced their first dance to Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.”
“Everybody had an awesome time,” Charles said. “Two great families came together.”
Cheryl Pirozzoli and Chris Oaks of Salinas will be married on May 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salinas. Cheryl is the daughter of Mary Pirozzoli of Gilroy and the late William Pirozzoli. She is a program manager with the Monterey County Department of Social Services. Chris is the son of Lois and Kenneth Oaks of Fountain Valley. He is a social worker with the Monterey County Department of Social Services.
Ralph and Gale Hammond of Morgan Hill happily announce the engagement on Thanksgiving Day of their daughter, Ashley Clare Hammond, to James Paul Stromberg. Ashley, a 1994 graduate of Live Oak High School, received her B.S. degree at Arizona State University in Tempe and completed her Masters of Elementary Education in 2001. She teaches first grade at El Dorado Private School in Scottsdale.
Jim, son of Paul Stromberg of St. Louis and Jeanette Stromberg of Chicago, graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a degree in Construction Management. He is a project manager for Hunt Construction in Los Angeles.
The couple will celebrate an evening wedding on July 10 at the Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix. After honeymooning in Kauai, Ashley and Jim will reside in Redondo Beach, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wayman announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Wayman to Thomas Frazier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frazier.
Kelly is a 1995 graduate of Live Oak High School. Thomas was born and raised in Southern California. Both graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they met.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 10, 2005 in Mill Valley.
