Mrs. Schaffino is survived by her children Mary Romero of Gilroy, Molly Romero of Redwood City, Joe Romero of San Jose, Frank Puente of Barstow, Vangie Puente of Redwood City, Darlene Gutierrez of San Jose, Rick Paglino of Merced, Epifano Garcia of Texas and Fernando Garcia of Manteca.
She was the loving grandmother of 38; great-grandmother of 40; and great-great-grandmother of two.
Mrs. Schaffino retired from the Sunflower Garden Cannery and had been a resident of Santa Clara County for more than 60 years.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2004, at St. Mary Church, Gilroy.
Donations to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund in her memory are preferred and appreciated.
Services are under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
