GILROY – Maestro Henry Mollicone, conductor and music director of the South Valley Symphony will discuss his life as a professional composer at the studios of the Monterey Street Music Academy, 7423 Monterey St., on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
All ages are welcome for this one-hour presentation. Get an insider’s view on the music and musicians that make our community orchestra.
Admission is $5.
GILROY – Gilroy Community Services Department and John Bisceglie will hold auditions for “Disco Island” on Monday, at the Willey Cultural Center, 140 Fifth St.
Ages 5 to 10 will be seen at 5 p.m., ages 11 to 15 at 6:30 p.m. and ages 16 to 21 at 8 p.m.

GILROY – The Gilroy Historical Society will dedicate a historical marker at the site of the Gilroy Chinese Cemetery on the seventh green of the Gilroy Golf Course on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Author of ‘Chinese Gold,’ Sandy Lydon will join as guest speaker at the Gilroy Elks Club, 2765 Hecker Pass Hwy.
