in Gilroy. She was 75.
Amelia Hernandez-Rubio died Monday, April 12, 2004, at her home in Gilroy. She was 75.
She was a native of Mexico, who enjoyed knitting and arts and crafts, but mostly she loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be loved and missed forever.
Mrs. Hernandez-Rubio is survived by her husband, Jesus Rubio of Gilroy; children, Rosario and her husband Jose Castaneda of Gilroy, Juan Triana and his wife Evangelina of Gilroy, Alicia Avila and her husband Pifanio of Phoenix, Ariz., Elvia Galvan and her husband Juan of Gilroy, Miguel Rubio and his wife Rosaura of Gilroy, Delfina Rubio of Gilroy, Maria de Jesus Rubio of Gilroy, and Lilia Ibarra and her husband Jesus of Gilroy; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy. Services will start at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home then proceed to Gavilan Hills Memorial Park for burial.
