San Juan Bautista from 11:30am to 2pm.
Gilroy – The Gilroy Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will start the year off with a membership lunch on Saturday. Members and guests will gather at Jardines de San Juan in San Juan Bautista from 11:30am to 2pm.
Since 1881 AAUW has been a leading voice in promoting education and equity for women and girls, influencing public debate on issues such as education, civil rights and health care. Membership is open to all persons who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Locally AAUW awards scholarships for women going to college, sponsors a scholarship to Tech Trek camp for a middle school girl and holds televised election forums.
