Q: How are you transitioning from summer to school?

We went out and asked local teens this question. Here’s what they said.

Nick Huston

Age: 15

School: Palma High School

A: “I have to wake up earlier and I can’t sleep in. I also have to stay up late doing homework instead of other things.”

Ashley Grose

Age: 14

School: Ann Sobrato High School

A: “It’s very hard, especially when going into high school. You can’t do whatever you want.”

Samantha Filice

Age: 16

School: San Benito High School

A: “I have to go to bed earlier because it’s hard for me to wake up for school … also I can’t go anywhere until I finish my homework.”

Billy Hill

A: “It was hard, because I hate waking up early.”

A: “It’s not too bad – the main thing I’m having a problem with is getting up and going in the morning because I’m used to sleeping in but now I have to wake up early.”
