Dear Editor,
The question of the day is,
”
Do we want a convenient Indian gambling casino?
”
Will it tempt us to try to win big bucks for that new car,
vacation trip, or just to have more money when we shop for
groceries for our family?
Dear Editor,
“Ah, yes! Pool! Right here in River City!” The words of Preston Foster in “The Music Man.”
Crime is with us to stay. Just read the “police blotter” every day. There are bottom feeders in every pond.
An Indian casino – with heavy security and hi-tech video surveillance – and the FBI investigating any crime on Indian land – would be the ONLY crime-free oasis in this whole area.
Bring it on. It’s time we had something fun and interesting to do around here.

Dear Editor,
The question of the day is, “Do we want a convenient Indian gambling casino?”
Will it tempt us to try to win big bucks for that new car, vacation trip, or just to have more money when we shop for groceries for our family.?
Well, what will the results be?
Some of us will go on pay day, and the next week our family will be HUNGRY.
Some of us will have huge family fights over this: we don’t like being hungry.
Some of us will loose our homes: the money to pay the mortgage or the rent has been spent at the casino.
Some of us who are doing the gambling will become very depressed and guilty, and go back “just one more time” to try to win enough money to pay off our debts.
You can see where this is going, and it isn’t pretty. Do we really need this in our community? I say NO.
What do you say?
