It was close, but no cigar for the Gavilan men’s basketball team Wednesday.
The Rams trailed by only two points at halftime, but eventually lost 79-68 at home. The decision marked Gavilan’s 15th straight loss.
Ramandeep Bassi led the Rams with 25 points in the game, including seven 3-pointers. Kelli Goodman added 12.
Gavilan will play at 7 p.m. Friday at De Anza. The Rams (1-18 overall, 0-8 in conference) have just four games left this season. 
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Rams fall to Mission
The Gavilan women’s basketball team lost 72-57 to the visiting Mission College Wednesday.
Stats and scoring from this game was not yet available. 
The Rams will play their fourth to last contest of the year at 5 p.m. Friday at De Anza.
SOFTBALL
Rams vs. West Hills postponed
Due to heavy rain hitting the South Valley Wednesday, the Gavilan vs. West Hills College doubleheader has been postponed.
The games have been rescheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. starts Tuesday at Gavilan.
