Gavilan was swept for just the third time this season, this time at the hands of Cabrillo.Â
The Seahawks beat the Rams 3-0 — 25-17, 25-8, 27-25 — at Gavilan Wednesday in the last Coast Conference Crossover game of the season.
Cabrillo’s Nikki Mayashita and Madison Borch combined for six aces against the Rams. The Seahawks had nine in the game.Â
The Seahawks kept Gavilan’s offense in check, limiting it to 21 kills while posting 40 of their own. Samantha Nydam and Savanna Hartman led the charge, each putting up seven kills for the Rams in the game.Â
Cheyanne Dela Merced had 11 assists and an ace for Gavilan.Â
The Rams (7-8 overall, 1-1 in conference) will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to host Skyline (10-6; 0-0).Â

Gavilan falls to Butte
Hibsen Tamayo-Davila scored his 10th goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough to help Gavilan past Butte.
Butte topped the Rams 2-1 Wednesday at Gavilan.Â
Tamayo-Davila scored a goal in the 36th minute off an assist from Lachlan Moye.
Angel Trejo spent 65 minutes between the pipes for Gavilan, picking up a save and allowing a goal. Kevin Acosta picked up the remaining time in the net and stopped six shots while allowing one.
The Rams (2-6-2 overall, 1-2 in conference) will be back in action at 4 p.m. Friday to host Skyline.Â
