Andy “Disco” Martinez passed away in Gilroy on Dec. 14, 2002.
Andy was born in Gilroy Oct. 25, 1982. His passion for dancing will be his legacy as well as his outgoing personality and big heart. He’ll always be remembered for his great smile and crazy laughs. His hobbies included fishing, watching the 49ers, and playing football.
He is survived by his parents, Felipe and Amanda Barraza of Gilroy. He is the brother of Brenda Barraza, Junior Barraza, and Griselda Martinez all of Gilroy. He is the grandson of Felicitas Martinez and Espiridion Santos, both of Gilroy. Andy is the nephew of Amelia Adame, Sylvia Martinez, Yolanda Galvan, Lucia Luna, Blanca Estrada, Juan Martinez, Josie Martinez, Armando Gutierrez and Rosie Aguilar, all of Gilroy. He is also survived by many cousins, great aunts, uncles, many friends and his fiancé, Serina Padilla of Los Banos.
Vigil Service will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Services will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. at the funeral home and then proceed to St. Marys Church for a Funeral Mass at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Gilroy.
