Drive-by shooting

GILROY – A Santa Rosa man was arrested early this morning for firing three gunshots into an “inhabited dwelling” at 7550 Monterey Road. Nobody inside the dwelling was hurt.

Huuilino Ovendano was arrested for the shooting at 12:25 a.m. when he was pulled over in his car by Gilroy Police.

No motive for the shooting has been determined by police. A similar drive-by style shooting into a occupied home on the 7600 block of Church Street took place the weekend before. No suspect was arrested in that incident.
