MORGAN HILL – Six persons were injured, none seriously, in an accident at 7 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Monterey Highway and Bailey Avenue north of Morgan Hill.

The morning commute was snarled as the accident, which involved four vehicles, resulted in road closures for 90 minutes until the site was cleared.

One northbound lane of Monterey was open and both southbound lanes were closed, according to San Jose Police.

The accident occurred when a northbound auto attempted a left turn onto Bailey just as a commuter train passed. The driver apparently turned on a red light in front of a southbound auto. Both vehicles careened into two other autos.
