Free Press ends its run … at least for now

Hollister – With publisher Linda Lee King out of town, the Free Press is on a hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. She is out of state on family business and hasn’t said when she will return, according to Free Press financial backer Jim West.

The first issue of the Free Press hit the stands on April 2, 2004. It published every Friday and printed 15,000 free copies distributed throughout San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.
