In the latest Gilroy rec softball games, Northbound goes south
in sixth and Overhead is looking down at the D league.
Los Gigantes rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to upset HD Auto Glass-Hard Ninety 12-11 in Men’s BB League softball play Friday at Las Animas Park.

Mitchell Reese and Jeremy Page slapped doubles and Ricky Salinas drew a two-out, bases-loaded walk to complete the comeback for Los Gigantes, the first-half C champion.

Page homered and Chris Soto provided three hits and a sacrifice fly for the winners. Toby Reyes went 3-for-3, Louie Garcia 3-for-4 for HD Auto-Ninety.

Dee’z Nutz parlayed a 14-run sixth inning into a 25-14 win over NorCal Regulators.

Ruben Chavez hit a two-run home run and RBI-single as Dee’z erased a 12-10 deficit. Rick Chavez added a triple a single, Eddie Gamboa a double and single in the explosion. Joel Vaca went 4-for-5 and Eric Gonzalez homered and scored five runs for Dee’z. Richie Rodriquez went 5-for-5 with a homer for the Regulators.

Dutchman’s Pizza struck for six runs in the sixth inning to take a 14-9 win over Northbound.

Ryan Dequin hit a two-run single, Bobby Reggiani an RBI-double as Dutchman’s shook off a 9-8 deficit. Eddie Adame went 4-for-4 for Dutchman’s. Benji Dequin and Kenny Hopf each netted three hits for Northbound.

California Overhead is 2-0 atop the Men’s D League after a 22-20 squeaker over Humboldt Brewing Friday at Christmas Hill Park.

Jason Trujillo went 4-for-4 and scored four runs to key the Overhead attack. Rick Trujillo hit a two-run home run and Mario Gallardo added a triple and two singles for the winners. Ben Roybal collected four hits and Dave Keim Jr. homered for Humboldt.

Brandon Vanderberg homered and Ed Castro lined four hits to pace Campbell’s Towing by Walton & Sons Masonry 22-10. Tim Graves went 3-for-3 and Kurt Gitmed hit a three-run homer for Walton & Sons.

Robert Estrada went 4-for-5 and Ismael Velasco scored four runs to lead Los Pistoleros past Gamers In Control 20-10. Eric Gebhardt went 3-for-4 for Gamers.

Louie Garcia and Gabriel Ponce each went 4-for-4 to lead Frank Vargas Taxes (2-0) by Team Hair FX 19-11 Sunday in Co-Rec B league play at Las Animas.

Liz Adams went 3-for-3 and scored three Vargas Taxes runs. Gilbert Ramirez went 3-for-3 for Team Hair FX.

Ernie Gomez and Rich Rodriquez each hit two home runs as Pacific Coast Bail Bonds (2-0) outlasted Team Coconut 15-13. Benny Sanchez and Bobby Reggiani each drilled three Coconut hits.

Phil Tercero homered in a four-hit effort to guide 2-0 Icy Hotz past El Fuego 18-7 in Co-Rec C action Sunday.

Brian Moreno drove in five Hotz runs with three extra-base hits. Chris Hatch homered and Juan Martinez tripled and singled for El Fuego.

Terry Smith went 4-for-4 and Art Mancera homered to highlight a 10-8 Blackout Window Tinting win over the Big Kahunas. Spencer Straub tripled and singled for the Kahunas.

Anritsu dropped a game by forfeit to ifly (2-0).
