Born in Preston, Oklahoma, he was one week shy of 85 years old when he died in Medford, Oregon. Preceded in death by his wife, Miranda Canzada Coker Jones, and his son George “Woody” Jones. He is survived by his generous older brother, Will “Floyd” Jones, 88 years old of Central Point, OR, his two daughters, Barbara Jones Redmond of Santa Cruz, and Shirley Jones Stockwell of Willits, CA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Kimberly Redmond Ott, Brian Erk, and Cyndi Claxton, and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Travis, and Katelyn all of California. He died with his nephew Charles “Chuck” Cole at his side, whom he always described as being like a son, along with his caretakers, to whom the family is very grateful. May God keep him and bless his soul. He will be returned to and buried with his wife in Hollister. Funeral services will be held at IOOF Cemetery on Buena Vista Road in Hollister on Monday, August 11th, at 10:00 A.M.
