GILROY – Most Wanted shocked previously unbeaten C&R Communications 17-15 Monday to leave four Men’s Fall C League softball teams with one loss at Las Animas Park.
Most Wanted posted a 10-4 lead after one inning and held on to move to 2-1 in league play. C&R is alone in first at 3-1, with Los Gigantes and Tax Systems also at 2-1 in second place.
Mike Sandoval powered two home runs in the Wanted first frame, plating five runs. Sandoval added a two-run triple and a single in a 4-for-4 effort. Eddie Adame hit a two-run homer and Johnny Andrade drove in two Wanted runs with a double and single. Jesse Gonzalez hit a three-run homer and Robert Sanchez scored three runs for C&R.
Noe DeLaTorre drove in nine runs with a pair of homers, a triple and a single in a 19-3 Los Gigantes nod over DS Builders. Jose Melendrez went 3-for-3 for the winners, Chris Salter 2-for-2 for DS Builders.
Tax Systems pushed across three runs in the bottom of the final inning to upset Lozano’s Dirty Ghetto Boys 23-22. Jack Becerril, Zack Cobbs, Joe Pereira, Daniel Hernandez and Joel Valdivia hit consecutive singles to open the Systems rally. Anthony Bussey went 4-for-4 for the Taxmen. Lawrence Espinosa, Don Rose and Jay Gonzalez each homered for Lozano’s.
Jason Trujillo went 5-for-5 with a home run to help 5-0 Los Pistoleros past the Loco Boys 31-16 in Men’s DD play Wednesday.
John Carrillo homered and Art Tomasetti collected four hits and scored for Pistoleros runs. Frank Leonard went 4-for-4-, Robert Vantassel 3-for-3 for the Loco Boys.
Ryan McDonnell hit three home runs to highlight a 21-7 Feather Haven win over the Bomb Squad. Ryan Bell and Hugo Arredondo each managed three Bomb Squad hits.
The Royals and Team Wicked battled to a 15-15 deadlock after eight innings. Greg Lane went 5-for-5 for the Royals. Chris Stainton launched two home runs, Nick Alderete one for Team Wicked.
Cencal Auto Body is 4-0 atop the Men’s D League after an 11-6 victory over the Players.
Isaac Seymour stroked a homer, double and single for Cencal. Blue Torralba went 3-for-3 for the 3-1 Players.
Rodney Clore and Mitch MacVicar both singled and scored in the seventh inning to lift Pacific Coast Bail Bonds by the Titans 14-13. Josh Torres hit two Pacific Coast home runs. Paul Brummitt went 3-for-4 for the Titans.
Matt Elam bagged two doubles and a single to help Blackout Window Tinting to a 13-4 decision over the Hit Men. Mark Maggiora and Doug Weaver each went 3-for-4 for the Hit Men.
