Firefighters contain San Martin blaze

Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters contained a half-acre
grassfire in San Martin that damaged one structure and a utility
pole, CalFire Battalion Chief Jim Crawford said.
Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters contained a half-acre grassfire in San Martin that damaged one structure and a utility pole, CalFire Battalion Chief Jim Crawford said.

Crawford said the fire burned along railroad tracks off Seymour Avenue north of Middle Avenue.

The fire damaged one outbuilding, and PG&E was called to the scene to examine the burnt utility pole, Crawford said.

He said there were no injuries.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
