Sixth Street will be closed to westbound traffic between
Monterey Road and Eigleberry Street from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday
to lay asphalt on the north side of the street as part of a
sidewalk improvement project, according to a city of Gilroy press
release.

Detour and road-closure signs will be installed, and the street will be reopened as soon as the asphalt has cooled enough to allow traffic, according to the release.
