BAKERSFIELD – Two rounds are complete at the CIF State Wrestling Championships and three Mustangs remain in contention for the state title.
Nikko Vllarreal (125), Willie Fox (130) and Blake Kastl (135) are 2-0 through their initial set of matches.
Leif Dominguez (103), 0-1, Paul Fox (112), 1-1, Victor Olmos (119), 0-1, and Aaron Gonzalez (140) 0-1 must continue their meet in the consolation bracket.
Villarreal is slated to wrestle Blake Lowrie while Willie Fox takes on Tanner Feurerstein of Oakdale and Kastl awaits the challenge of Jesse Taylor of Poway in Championship Round 3 later on this afternoon.
