GHS beats defending league and section champ 5-2 in league
opener.
The Gilroy High boys soccer team lost two games in Tri-County Athletic League play last season both against Alisal – the eventual league and Division I section champ.
The Trojans swept the season series, including a 4-2 triumph in what was basically the league-championship game.
Heading into this season, among other goals for 2010-11, victory over the Trojans sat near the top of the list.
On Thursday, the Mustangs defeated Alisal 5-2 to open TCAL play.
GHS received two goals each from Kristian Urias and Johnathan Diaz De Leon and another tally from Jorge Sanchez.
