For laughs: Comedians Mark Pitta, Sammy Obied and Jim Summers will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at 9Lives, 7430 Monterey St. Cost: $12-$15. 21+. Details: 337-1799 or click here.
Salsa Dance Night: Fortino Winery will host a night of dancing starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. Instructor Jeremy Pillings will show all the moves needed at 8 p.m. for an open dance session from 9 to 11 p.m. The 21 years and older event will have a no host and tapas bar. Cioppino dinner at Portuguese Lodge: The I.F.D.E.S Portuguese Hall, 250 Old Gilroy St., will hold its crab Cioppino and shrimp dinner Saturday. There will be a dance with music by deejay Curtis Bakich. The no-host bar begins at 6 p.m. and the dinner is at 7 p.m. Cost: $45 per person. Double Exposure: The Gilroy Arts Center, 7341 Monterey St., will hold an exhibit called Times2 – Double Exposure Photographs by Trish Triumpho Sullivan this month. There will be a free reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Details: 842-6999 or gilroyartsalliance.org.
For the kids: Bring the whole family and enjoy an elaborate petting zoo from Pony Up!, delight in a pony rides, visit with exotic animals from Wild Things and rehabilitated animals from WERC and participate in educationally enriching activities in each of the classrooms during the Animal Day Children’s Faire from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at Tutor Time. 610 E.
