developers come in and build more house that we do not need, but to
rip out the trees that have been in the orchards for

It’s amazing to me that the City of Gilroy not only let’s the developers come in and build more house that we do not need, but to rip out the trees that have been in the orchards for decades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – the Cimarron Homes currently being developed on Rodeo Drive in Gilroy.
Why would the city allow the removal of the awesome trees??!! This is such a sad day when a city can’t think to build around the trees instead of destroy them. I am ashamed to be a Gilroy resident. How could any home be worth what those trees were worth?
Had I known that the trees were going to be destroyed, I would have made a big bang at City Hall. I am so disappointed that homes are more important than the decade old trees.
