Dennis Orland Dillehay was born in Gilroy, CA and graduated from Gilroy Union High School in 1964.
He married Martha Ann Thompson August 27, 1968. They had two children, Jeremiah Christian and Jennifer Ann.
Dennis attended San Jose State College and graduated with a BA from Chico State University.
Dennis and Martha were divorced in 1994. In February 1996, Dennis accepted a job in Parma, ID with Sun Seeds, now Nunhems USA. He was the conditioning manager and later the project manager. He retired in February 2011.
He met Kathy Harrod of Vale, OR and they were married July 3, 1997. They lived in Ontario, OR until his death.
Dennis was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February of 2010. After a long battle he died peacefully August 9, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy and her four children and seven grandchildren; children Jeremiah Dillehay, grand children, Scott and Sean; and Jennifer Ann Bogle and her husband Matthew; his mother, Lola Dillehay; his brother Bob Dillehay; nieces, Sarah McNitt and Lynn Peterson; nephews, Dan Peterson, Steve Peterson and Derek Dillehay; aunt Pat Giroir; three grandnieces and nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and his sister Patricia Peterson and his nephew Troy.
He loved and served his god and created beautiful pottery.
A Memorial Service will held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., at Calvary Chapel of Ontario, OR.
