Larson announces retirement
Santa Barbara Bank & Trust announced that Clayton C. Larson is retiring from the bank effective July 31. Larson has most recently served in the role of regional market president overseeing a variety of business development and customer relationship activities in the bank’s Northern California communities. Larson, 65, founded First National Bank of Central California in 1984, where he served as President and CEO for 15 years. Under his leadership, FNB acquired South Valley National Bank and San Benito Bank. In 1998, FNB’s parent company Pacific Capital Bancorp was acquired by Santa Barbara Bancorp. Since that time, Larson has served the bank in a variety of executive management roles.
