The Gilroy Little League Angels picked up their fifth straight victory with an 11-1 decision against the Mets in Minors softball action Thursday night.

Sabrina Lopez, who averages nine strikeouts an outing, led the Angels in the circle. Erika Cates, Bella Delgado, Kiana Lester and Sarah Starks provided the offensive punch, while Maggie Brinkman and Tina Chavez, among others, anchored a strong defensive effort.

“We are a great group of girls,” manager Susan Shapiro said.
